When I was a kid we took a family camping trip. The second my dad pulled out the tent, I decided I would sleep in the car. Camping is not my thing. Maybe it is yours. I have nothing against the great outdoors. For me, I find it difficult sleeping on the hard dirt floor, in the cold, worrying about bugs and other animals that might attack me. Call me crazy, however, I know I am not alone. Fortunately, I can now camp in style and avoid everything I dislike about camping. I just visit one of England’s fabulous holiday parks. Have you ever been? If not, you are missing out.
When you visit a holiday camp, you get to camp in the luxury of a huge tent. The tent provides you with a real bed, electric lighting, a kitchen, and a fridge. Just outside of your tent is a resort full of activities. You can take a swim in the heated pool or hang out on the sandy beach. Most holiday camps have clubs for kids so they are entertained.
Other activities that people enjoy are walking, cycling, and trekking. Also, many people star watch at night. Try one or two while you are at the camp, even if it is something that you are unfamiliar with. It will make your stay more enjoyable.
Additionally, when you visit a holiday camp, there is so much space. That is the biggest plus of the camp. Make sure to take advantage of the space. Enjoy it. Drive your car where you please. You can relax and enjoy not being tied down or on a schedule.
The one thing to be aware of when visiting a holiday camp is the weather. When it rains, everything will get wet and it may be difficult to get everything dry. Be prepared for this. You might want to bring extra blankets in case it does rain. This will help if yours get wet or if you get cold. Also, the camps that are located further south have less risk of rain, especially during the summer months.
Lastly, make sure you pack appropriately for the trip. Most holiday camps will have all the food you need, however you might want to bring snacks for your fridge or kitchen. Also, you will be spending a lot of time outside, so bring sunscreen. Investing in some great camping lights is also a great idea. You do not want a bad sunburn to ruin your trip!
